ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, on Monday said that the upcoming installment of the Benazir Kafaalat programme would be disbursed exclusively through digital wallets.

While women beneficiaries who have not yet received their free “Benazir SIMs” should collect them from their nearest BISP office before June 15, she said.

Rubina Khalid expressed these views while chairing an important review meeting at BISP Headquarters along with Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad to review the progress on the distribution of free SIMs being provided to women beneficiaries for digital wallets, as well as the implementation of the interoperability mechanism.

During the meeting, Senator Rubina Khalid and Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad directed all Regional Director Generals to further accelerate the distribution of free SIMs and ensure extensive awareness among women beneficiaries regarding the initiative.

They clarified that only those women beneficiaries who have not yet received their free SIMs should visit their nearest BISP offices before June 15 to collect them.

Senator Rubina Khalid further instructed that effective awareness campaigns should be conducted through BISP offices and community leaders to avoid unnecessary overcrowding at offices and to facilitate beneficiaries more efficiently.

The meeting also reaffirmed that the upcoming installment of the Benazir Kafaalat programme would be distributed solely through digital wallets as part of efforts to ensure transparency, convenience and improved service delivery for women beneficiaries.

Additional Secretary BISP Dr. Asmat Nawaz and all Director Generals also attended the meeting.
