Unidentified man electrocuted to death in Abbottabad Nawan Shehr Area

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) An unidentified individual lost his life due to electrocution after coming into contact with high-voltage overhead electricity wires in Nawan Shehr locality of Abbottabad.

The mishap took place near Shama Public school on Mera Madrooch Road. According to reports, the man entered a residential premises and, while crossing over the roof, accidentally touched the main electrical transmission lines, suffering a severe electric shock. He sustained critical burn injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rescue 1122 responded swiftly and a medical team arrived promptly at the location, and in coordination with the police, the body was recovered and shifted to Ayub Medical Complex for post-mortem and further formalities.

Police officials from Nawan Shehr Police Station confirmed that the deceased has not yet been identified. Authorities have appealed to the public for assistance in establishing his identity. Anyone with information about the man is urged to contact the nearest police station or specifically Nawan Shehr Police Station without delay.

Police continue their efforts to trace the victim’s family and complete necessary legal procedures.
