ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will continue its Human Rights Internship Programme, Huqooq-e-Pakistan II on the second week of march , in collaboration with MASHAL ,a programme of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP),said in a Press release issued here on Thursday.
The continuation of the internship programme reflects the shared commitment of UNDP and MASHAL to promote human rights education, strengthen institutional capacity, and provide structured learning opportunities for young professionals. The initiative aims to enhance coordination among government departments, national and provincial human rights institutions, civil society organisations, and academic partners.
Under the collaboration, selected interns will receive practical exposure and hands-on training through structured workshops and mentorship. Representatives from MASHAL will work closely with volunteers and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the programme.
The continuation of the internship programme has been described as a significant step toward sustaining efforts for the promotion and protection of human rights in Pakistan.
