UMT Sialkot hosts NIC roadshow to inspire student entrepreneurs

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) The Office of Participant Affairs (OPA) and the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) Sialkot City Campus successfully organized the NIC Sialkot Roadshow to introduce students to opportunities in innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-up development.

The interactive session was led by Farrukh Khan, Project Director, and Mashal, Project Manager, from the National Incubation Center (NIC) Sialkot. The speakers provided valuable insights into Pakistan's startup ecosystem, innovation culture, and the support available for aspiring entrepreneurs through incubation and mentorship programs.

Students actively participated in the session, engaging with the speakers and learning about the opportunities offered by NIC Sialkot to transform innovative ideas into successful business ventures. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Executive Director Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, who appreciated the guests, organizers, and students for their enthusiastic participation and contribution to the success of the roadshow.
