UHS BoG approves five-year contract extension for 106 employees

Board discusses routine administrative affairs of university and takes necessary decisions in accordance with rules

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 12nd, 2026) The 64th meeting of the Board of Governors of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) was held on Thursday with Ms Farkhanda Wasim Afzal in the chair, where the board approved extension in service contracts of 106 employees for a further period of five years.

The meeting reviewed administrative and service matters related to the university and granted approval for extension of contracts under the UHS Service Statutes, allowing the employees to continue their services for the next five years.

The meeting was attended by Capt (R) Zahid Saeed, Prof Saeed Shafqat, Ms Shahnaz Sardar, Vice Chancellor UHS Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore, and Registrar Kiran Fatima, while representatives of the Punjab Specialised Healthcare and Medical education Department and the Finance Department joined the session online.

The board also discussed routine administrative affairs of the university and took necessary decisions in accordance with the rules.
