UGIs announces 100pc fee waiver for traffic police martyrs’ children

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) The Unique Group of Institutions (UGIs) has announced a 100 per cent tuition fee waiver for the children of traffic police martyrs, while continuing its 50pc fee concession for the children of serving traffic police personnel.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed during a ceremony held at the Dr. Nisar Ahmed Rana Auditorium of the Unique Group. The agreement was signed by Lahore CTO Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi and Rector of Unique Group Prof. Amjad Ali Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, CTO highlighted the importance of incorporating traffic education into academic curricula, saying it would help raise awareness among the younger generation about traffic laws and road safety. He also appreciated the Unique Group’s initiative, calling the fee concessions for the families of martyrs and serving personnel highly commendable.

Prof. Amjad Ali Khan said that adherence to traffic rules is essential for preventing road accidents and stressed the need for greater cooperation with traffic authorities. He paid tribute to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, saying their sacrifices also contribute to the safety of educational institutions and society at large. He further assured that the doors of Unique Group campuses would always remain open for the children of martyrs, reaffirming the 100% fee waiver policy across all campuses.

The ceremony also featured a special documentary screening on the traffic management system. The event was attended by Vice Chairman Afif Ashraf Siddiqui, Director Academics Prof. Wasim Anwar Chaudhry, Director Administration Muhammad Abdullah, along with a large number of teachers and students, including a significant presence of female students.
