UET Peshawar achieves international ISO certifications

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar has achieved a major milestone after its main and allied campuses were accredited with internationally recognized ISO certifications for quality management, environmental management and occupational health and safety systems.

According to the university administration, the institution secured ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS).

The achievement reflects the university’s commitment to promoting international standards in academic governance, operational efficiency, environmental sustainability and workplace safety across all campuses.

Vice Chancellor UET Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak, congratulated the faculty members, officers, staff and students on the accomplishment and termed it an important step towards transforming UET Peshawar into a globally competitive institution.

He said the ISO certifications would help strengthen institutional governance, continuous improvement mechanisms, stakeholder confidence and service delivery within the university system.

The vice chancellor added that the achievement demonstrates the university’s dedication to maintaining high standards in education, administration and campus management in line with international best practices.
