Uderolal Welfare organizes 327th free medical camp

SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) Uderolal Welfare, in collaboration with the Sindh government’s Rehabilitation Department, organized its 327th free medical camp at Sindhi Main Primary school here Sunday, where hundreds of patients were provided free medical check-ups, quality treatment, diagnostic tests and medicines, while 20 differently-abled persons were also given free wheelchairs.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Uderolal Welfare Chairman Baba Raj Kumar said that the camp was held under the slogan, “Service for God, service for all,” and marked the organization’s 327th free medical camp.

He said the primary objective of the initiative was to provide quality healthcare facilities to poor, deserving and underprivileged people near their homes so that they could avoid expensive treatment and receive timely and proper medical care.

Mr Kumar said the camp was organized with the support of the Sindh government’s Rehabilitation Department, and he expressed gratitude to the department’s provincial adviser Gyan Chand Esrani for his cooperation in ensuring the availability of modern mobile medical vehicles, doctors and trained medical staff.

He said the facilities had made it possible to ensure proper diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients in an efficient manner.

He added that along with government doctors, 28 doctors associated with Uderolal Welfare were also providing their services at the medical camp.

Besides free check-ups, treatment, tests and medicines, wheelchairs were also being distributed free of cost among persons with disabilities to help improve their daily lives, he said.

Rehabilitation Department in-charge Dr Ashok Thama said that two pre-mobile hospital service vehicles one for men and one for women had been deployed at the camp.

He said the main purpose of these vehicles was to provide healthcare services in areas where hospitals were unavailable or where residents could not easily reach medical facilities.

“These vehicles are equipped with a complete hospital system, modern medical equipment, laboratory facilities and trained medical staff, making them a fully functional hospital on wheels,” he said, adding that the initiative ensured better treatment at the patients’ doorstep.
