UAD holds farewell ceremony for former VC

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) The University of Agriculture Dera Ismail Khan (UAD) organized a farewell ceremony in the honor of former Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah, attended by faculty members, administrative officers and university employees.

The ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal, wherein the participants paid tribute to the former vice chancellor for his contributions toward the university’s academic and administrative development.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal said that Dr. Shakeeb Ullah rendered valuable services for the progress of the university, improvement of academic standards and strengthening of the institution’s administrative structure.

He said significant progress was made during Dr. Shakeeb Ullah’s tenure in institutional development, infrastructure improvement, acquisition of land for the permanent campus, provision of facilities to students and employees, and approval of university rules and regulations.

He further said that Dr. Shakeeb Ullah proved to be a sincere and visionary administrator who led the university toward new avenues of growth through his leadership and dedication.

He added that his services would always be remembered with respect and honor.

Registrar Abdul Basit Khan, in his address, said that Dr. Shakeeb Ullah managed the university’s affairs efficiently and took effective measures to address the issues faced by teachers, officers, employees and students. He said the former vice chancellor promoted discipline, mutual respect and a positive academic environment within the institution.

Former Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah thanked Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal, Registrar Abdul Basit Khan, the university administration, faculty and staff for organizing the ceremony in his honor. He said the university would always remain close to his heart and that he had consistently worked for the institution’s progress, promotion of quality education and a brighter future for students during his tenure.

He also appreciated the role of the university’s faculty and employees, saying institutional progress is only possible through collective efforts and teamwork.

At the end of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal and Registrar Abdul Basit Khan presented a traditional Ajrak and commemorative shield to Professor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah.
