U.S. stock markets close lower as Nasdaq drops 1.47 %

NEW YORK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 17th Jul, 2026) U.S. stock indexes closed lower across the board on Thursday at the end of trading on Wall Street, as the Nasdaq posted the steepest decline.

The Nasdaq Composite fell 387 points, or 1.47%, to close at 25,881. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 105 points, or 0.20%, ending the session at 52,553.

The S&P 500 declined about 38 points, or 0.51%, to close at 7,533.
