Two shot dead in Kohat as police launch investigation

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Two people were killed in a firing incident in the Merozi area of Kohat on Wednesday, police and hospital sources said.

The victims were shifted to a nearby hospital shortly after the incident, where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.

Their identities were not immediately disclosed.

Police said the circumstances leading to the shooting were still unclear, prompting authorities to initiate an investigation into the incident.

Law enforcement officials added that efforts were underway to ascertain the motive behind the attack and arrest those involved in the deadly shooting.
