Two robbers among 3 arrested in separate police encounters

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The police have arrested three criminals including two alleged robbers and a man accused of abusing a minor girl during separate encounters in different areas of Faisalabad and recovered weapons as well as stolen valuables from their possession.

Police spokesman Tariq Jatt said here on Wednesday that two alleged robbers were arrested in injured condition during a police encounter in the jurisdiction of Saddar Faisalabad police station. The suspects were identified as Ehtisham and Ali Hassan.

He said that SHO Muhammad Ali signaled three suspicious motorcyclists to stop during patrolling. However, the outlaws opened fire on the police party and fled towards Chak 237/R-B. The police chased the accused and retaliated in self-defense. After the exchange of fire ended, the police found two suspects lying injured along with pistols. The police claimed the suspects were hit by bullets fired by their own accomplice during indiscriminate firing while their third accomplice managed to escape from the scene.

The police recovered a motorcycle allegedly snatched from citizens in robbery incident and a mobile phone from the possession of the arrested suspects and they were shifted to hospital for medical treatment while further legal proceedings were underway.

Meanwhile, the police also arrested an accused of inappropriate acts with a six-year-old girl after an encounter in the area of Raza Abad police station.

Police spokesman said that SHO Raza Abad police station conducted a raid near Ayesha Mosque in Bilal Garden Chak 279/R-B after receiving a tip-off and arrested the accused identified as Mohsin.

During raid, the accused allegedly opened fire on the police party. The police retaliated in self-defense and, after the firing stopped, the accused was found injured.

The police claimed the suspect sustained bullet injuries from his own weapon during the exchange of fire and a 30-bore pistol was also recovered from his possession.

The injured suspect was shifted to hospital for treatment while the police launched raids to arrest the absconding accomplices involved in the separate incidents, spokesman added.
