Two-member gang involved in robbery arrested in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Police have arrested a two-member gang involved in multiple robbery incidents and recovered Rs370,000 in cash along with weapons used in the crimes.

According to a police spokesperson, the gang leader had previously been declared a proclaimed offender in robbery cases and was wanted by police.

The suspects were also involved in a gunpoint robbery at a petrol pump two months ago.

RA Bazaar Police carried out the operation using technical and human intelligence resources, leading to the successful arrest of the accused.

SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan stated that the suspects would be presented before the court with solid evidence for further legal proceedings.
