Two LESCO officials among three held for corruption

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore conducted raids on illegally established LESCO stores and arrested three suspects, including two employees of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), for their alleged involvement in corruption.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the raids were carried out in the area of Kot Khawaja Saeed Sub-Division on the basis of confidential information. The arrested accused were identified as Line Superintendent Nauman Siddiqui, crane driver Muhammad Imtiaz and Bilal Sheikh.

The spokesperson said the suspects were allegedly involved in storing dismantled LESCO material in illegally established warehouses. During the raids, the FIA recovered five transformers, D-rods, disc insulators, conductors, double-structure platforms, PVC cables and safety belts. The total weight of the recovered material was found to be 13.98 tons, causing significant loss to the national exchequer.

A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
