Two killed, others injured in car-truck collision near Kharpa Interchange on CPEC

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) Two people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) near Kharpa Interchange in Pindi Gheb Tehsil on Friday.

According to rescue officials, a car traveling from Bhakkar to Rawalpindi collided with a truck moving ahead of it near the Kharpa Interchange. As a result of the collision, two occupants of the car died on the spot, while two others suffered injuries.

The Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene and launched immediate rescue operations. The injured were provided first aid before being shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Pindi Gheb, for further medical treatment.

The bodies of the deceased were transported to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Pindi Gheb, through an ambulance of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO).

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
