Two injured in well-cleaning accident in Chiniot, rescued safely

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Two individuals were injured after falling into a deep well during a cleaning operation in the Aminpur Road area of Chak No. 141 Khokhran, rescue officials reported on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, the accident occurred when the guardrail of a well, approximately 40 feet deep, suddenly gave way, causing both men to fall inside while carrying out cleaning work.

Upon receiving the alert, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene and, through swift and skilled efforts, successfully retrieved both individuals from the well.

The injured were identified as 35-year-old Imtiaz, son of Nazir Ahmed, and 23-year-old Zafar, son of Ghulam Ali.

Rescue personnel administered first aid at the site before shifting the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital for further medical treatment. Officials credited the timely response and professional expertise of the rescue teams with saving valuable lives.
