Two held for illegal possession of partridges in Karor

LAYYAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The Wildlife Department arrested two individuals for illegally keeping partridges without a valid license during a crackdown in the 82 Mor area near Bhakkar boundary within the jurisdiction of Karor Police Station on Sunday.

According to officials,the operation was conducted on the directives of Head Wildlife Misbah Saeed and carried out by Senior Wildlife Ranger Malik Arslan during a routine checkpoint in Tehsil Karor.

The suspects were arrested on the spot for violation of wildlife protection laws,the department said.

They were collectively fined Rs.40,000 for illegal possession of the birds.

Wildlife officials said action against illegal hunting and unlawful possession of wildlife would continue across the region without discrimination to protect local fauna.
