Two drug peddlers held in separate cases

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered narcotics worth millions of rupees during separate operations in the Saddar Sarai Alamgir police limits on Friday.

According to a police spokesperson,the operations were conducted under the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq and the supervision of DSP Sarai Alamgir Mumtaz Ahmed Mekan as part of an ongoing campaign against drug trafficking

In the first operation, HO Saddar Sarai Alamgir Aftab Rasool Chohan and his team arrested Muhammad Abu Bakar, son of Riaz and a r/o Shadman,Gujrat,recovering 11 kilograms of hashish from his possession.

In a separate operation, police arrested Nabeel, r/o Kotian and recovered over 1kg of hashish.

Separate cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation was underway.
