Two drug convicts handed nine-year sentences by CNSA court in Taxila

TAXILA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) A special court for Control of Narcotic Substances (CNSA) in Taxila has sentenced two drug convicts to nine years’ rigorous imprisonment each, along with fines of Rs80,000, after their involvement in separate narcotics cases was proven.

The verdict was announced by Additional Sessions Judge Farhan Mudassar on Friday, who presided over the CNSA court. One of the convicts, Hussain Nazir, a resident of HMC Colony, was found guilty in a case registered at Wah Cantt Police Station under the Narcotics Act.

In a separate case, the court awarded the same sentence to Aliyan Ali, a resident of Sukho. During proceedings, it was revealed that Hussain Nazir is a habitual offender, with a criminal record spanning 14 cases registered across multiple police stations in Rawalpindi and Attock, including Wah Cantt, Taxila, and Hassanabdal.

Following the court’s decision, both convicts were transferred to Adiala Jail to serve their sentences, marking a continued crackdown on drug-related crimes in the region.
