Two children die in Swat wall collapse incident

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) At least two children lost their lives after the wall of an under-construction house collapsed in Charbagh area of Swat district, informed Rescue 1122 officials on Sunday.

Rescue sources said the incident happened when a weak wall of the under-construction building suddenly fell, trapping the children under the debris.

The victims were identified as 11-year-old Rehan and 9-year-old Zar Afshan. Local residents immediately rushed to the scene and pulled the children from the rubble before handing them over to Rescue 1122 teams.

The rescue medical team shifted both children to a nearby hospital, but doctors confirmed that they had already passed away due to severe injuries.

Rescue 1122 has urged citizens to keep children away from under-construction and weak structures in order to prevent such tragic accidents in future.
