HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Two brothers drowned in a canal near Jamshoro while trying to beat the heat, Rescue 1122 officials said on Tuesday.
According to spokesperson Dilbar Halepoto, the incident took place near village Sain Dino Mallah where the brothers entered the Karachi Wah canal for bathing due to intense heat but slipped into deep water and drowned.
The deceased were identified as 26 year old Muhammad Kashif and 32 year Umair Khan, residents of Abbottabad.
They had come to Hyderabad for work with a telecommunications company. Officials told the two were working on repair and maintenance of telecommunication towers and were staying at a local hotel in Hyderabad.
Halepoto said, at around 8:00 pm, the body of one person was taken out of the canal, while the search for the other continued.
