DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) Emphasizing the growing environmental challenges facing the country, District and Sessions Judge Tank, Nadeem Muhammad, has called for collective efforts to promote tree plantation, describing it as a crucial step toward tackling pollution and climate change.

He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a tree plantation drive here at the District Bar Tank. The event was attended by District Bar Tank President Pir Abdul Ghaffar Shah Advocate, members of the legal fraternity, and officials from the Forest Department.

The judge said that trees not only help purify the air but also play a vital role in regulating temperature, maintaining the balance of the rainfall system, and mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.

He emphasized that forests also hold significant importance for the national economy, as they provide natural resources and contribute to foreign exchange earnings.

Highlighting the importance of a healthy environment, he remarked that a green and lush surrounding is essential for building a healthy society. He urged every individual to actively participate in the tree plantation campaign to ensure a sustainable and prosperous future.
