Tree Plantation campaign launched in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Tahira Aurangzeb, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture, Punjab, Shazia Rizwan and Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Asma Naz Abbasi, inaugurated a tree plantation campaign by planting saplings at 6th Road Park in Rawalpindi on Monday.

The participants highlighted the importance of tree planting in combating environmental pollution, reducing the effects of climate change, and promoting a clean and green environment.

Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Tahira Aurangzeb urged citizens, particularly the youth, to actively participate in plantation drives and consider the protection of trees as a national responsibility.

The trees are a guarantee of clean air and a healthier environment for future generations, she added.

The Punjab government is committed to making tree plantation campaigns more effective in line with the vision of a greener Pakistan.
