PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) A delegation from TransPeshawar visited the Safe City Command and Control Centre on Friday to review its surveillance and monitoring operations following the recent integration of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) camera network with the Safe City system.
According to a TransPeshawar spokesperson, the delegation, led by retired Colonel Amir Khattak, was given a comprehensive briefing on the centre's operations and advanced monitoring technologies.
Officials explained the functioning of the Command and Control Centre after the agreement allowing Safe City access to BRT surveillance cameras.
The Deputy Director of Safe Cities briefed the delegation on the operational framework of the centre, while members of the delegation observed live monitoring, surveillance systems, and various operational sections.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Officials said that the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the City Police Office (CPO) Peshawar marked the formal launch of technical cooperation between Safe City and TransPeshawar.
Under the arrangement, live feeds from cameras installed at BRT stations have been linked to the Safe City network, expanding the city's surveillance coverage.
The collaboration was described as a significant step towards enhancing urban security, improving monitoring capabilities, and ensuring a faster emergency response.
The TransPeshawar delegation appreciated the efforts of the Safe Cities team in strengthening public safety through modern technology.
