Traffic wardens provided heat relief facilities

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The police initiated a special welfare measure for traffic wardens performing duties in extreme heat.

On the directions of District Police Officer (DPO), Muhammad Abid, cold drinking water bottles and umbrellas were distributed among traffic police officials deployed at various traffic points across the city.

The distribution activity was supervised by the DSP Traffic along with other traffic officers, who acknowledged the dedication and hard work of traffic wardens managing traffic flow under harsh weather conditions.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Muhammad Abid said that traffic police personnel are a valuable asset of the department and their welfare, protection, and well-being remain a top priority. He added that traffic wardens continue to serve citizens and ensure smooth traffic movement despite severe heat.

He further stated that all possible facilities are being provided to on-duty personnel during extreme weather conditions. The police remain committed to practical welfare initiatives for its officers while continuing to serve the public effectively, he added.
