MANSEHRA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) The Mansehra Traffic Police demonstrated honesty and professionalism by returning Rs 210,000 in cash and other valuables recovered from a deceased road accident victim to his family after completing legal formalities.
According to the police, Traffic Officer Maroof Khan and his team were returning from traffic control duty at Chattar Battal when they spotted an accident-damaged vehicle near the Bajna Interchange on the Hazara Express Way. On reaching the scene, they found that the driver had died in the accident and immediately shifted the body to a hospital.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>During the process, the police recovered Rs 210,000 in cash, a wallet, a mobile phone, important documents, and other valuable items from the deceased. The belongings were taken into official custody, while the local police station and the Motorway Police were informed to complete the necessary legal procedures.
After verification of the heirs, the traffic police handed over the entire cash amount and all recovered belongings to the deceased's family. The Mansehra Traffic Police also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family over the tragic loss.
