LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Traffic arrangements have been completed for the 6 cattle markets to be established on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha in the city.
According to the CTO Lahore, a comprehensive traffic plan has been prepared for the convenience of citizens and traders so that there is no problem in accessing the markets.
Lahore Traffic police official says, zonal officers city will supervise all the arrangements, while 6 DSPs, 18 sector in-charges and more than 200 traffic wardens will be deployed in different cattle markets.
CTO Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said that 6 forklifts will also be deployed to eliminate illegal parking and encroachments.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He clarified that no animal or vehicle will be allowed to park on the main highways so that the flow of traffic is not affected.
The CTO Lahore has directed all zonal and divisional officers to visit cattle markets and said that the availability of entry and exit points, parking areas and information boards should be ensured in all cattle markets.
In this regard, Shirazi directed that the traffic plan should be implemented effectively with the cooperation of the district administration.
Furthermore, the traffic wardens have also been instructed to keep a close watch on vagrants, suspicious persons and abandoned objects.
