TMA Kohat launches cleanliness drive ahead of Eid-ul-Adha

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Kohat has officially launched a comprehensive cleanliness and waste management campaign ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha and special directives of Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz.

Following the instructions of Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Kohat, Javed Khan Bhittani, the Municipal Services In-charge, Muhammad Waqas, is actively supervising the excavation of large disposal pits in the rural areas of the district. The operational work is currently underway in the Chakar Kot Bala locality along Hangu Road.

According to Municipal Services In-charge Muhammad Waqas, the Primary objective of digging these large pits is to ensure the safe and hygienic disposal of offal, entrails, and animal waste during the festive days.

By designating these specific collection points, the administration aims to prevent citizens from discarding animal waste out in the open, on streets, or along roadsides, thereby protecting the local environment from pollution and foul odors.

The TMA Kohat management has appealed to the general public to fully cooperate with the municipal staff during Eid-ul-Adha. Citizens are urged to dump sacrificial animal waste only at the designated collection points to help the administration maintain a clean, green, and disease-free environment across Kohat.
