Three women die, multiple injured in Dir Lower road mishap

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) At least three women were killed and several others injured after a pickup vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in Lower Dir district on Tuesday.

Police said, the incident occurred in Adenzai area, specifically near Asbanr Nawagai, where the vehicle reportedly lost control and fell into a gorge.

As a result, three women died on the spot, while multiple passengers sustained injuries.

Rescue teams and local residents immediately responded to the scene, retrieving the bodies and providing first aid to the injured. The deceased and the injured were shifted to hospitals in Chakdara and Swat for further medical assistance.

Police have started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
