Three robbers Injured, arrested after alleged police encounter on National Highway in Dera Allah Yar

DERA MURAD JAMALI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) Three suspected robbers were injured and arrested during an alleged police encounter on the National Highway in Dera Allah Yar, Jaffarabad district, police said on Thursday.

According to Jaffarabad police, the incident occurred near the Manzoor Khoso petrol Pump where unidentified armed men snatched a motorcycle from a citizen and attempted to flee.

Upon receiving information, a team from Dera Allah Yar Police Station rushed to the scene. The suspects allegedly opened fire on the police upon seeing them, prompting the police to retaliate.

During the exchange of fire, all three suspects were injured and subsequently arrested by the police.

Police identified the injured suspects as Asghar Khakhrani, Ahsan Lashari and Waheed Abro. They were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Dera Allah Yar for medical treatment.

Police also recovered the snatched motorcycle from the suspects, while further investigation into the incident is underway.

Police officials said operations against criminal elements in the area would continue to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
