Three new private members’ bills introduced in Senate

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) As many as three new private members’ bills including the Juvenile Justice System (Amendment) Bill, 2026;

the Islamabad Consumers Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2026; and the Islamabad Healthcare Regulation

(Amendment) Bill, 2026 were introduced in the Senate on Monday.

The bills were introduced by Senators Sarmad Ali and Samina Mumtaz Zehri.

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani referred all three bills to the relevant standing committees for

detailed discussion after the government did not oppose them.
