Three murder accused arrested after remaining in hiding for 15 years

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Khanewal police have arrested three proclaimed offenders around fifteen years after they allegedly committed murders, police spokesman said on Wednesday.

The arrests were the result of the intensified operations against criminal elements launched on the orders of DPO Muhammad Abid, in line with the crime free Punjab vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Police teams have successfully arrested several dangerous proclaimed offenders who had been evading arrest for the last fifteen years.

Haveli Koranga Police apprehended proclaimed offender Ramzan alias Rami Ludhiana, who was wanted in a murder case. Similarly, Saddar Kabirwala police arrested absconding accused Muhammad Ashraf in another murder case, while Abdul Hakeem police carried out a successful operation to arrest proclaimed offender Majid Hussain.

Police reaffirmed that all available resources are being utilized to maintain peace and security in Khanewal.
