Police say three men worked as private security guards and domestic employees of the principal suspects already in custody

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 6th, 2026) A judicial magistrate on Monday remanded three more suspects into police custody for five days in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual assault of two foreign women in Lahore’s Defence area.

The suspects were produced before the magistrate at the Cantonment Courts after their arrest by investigators probing the high-profile case.

According to police, the three men worked as private security guards and domestic employees of the principal suspects already in custody.

During the hearing, the prosecution requested a 14-day physical remand, arguing that weapons allegedly used in the commission of the offence were yet to be recovered. The prosecutor also informed the court that medical examinations were required to determine the ages of the suspects as part of the ongoing investigation.

Before issuing the order, the magistrate asked the suspects whether they wished to make any statement. The accused declined to comment and informed the court that they were not represented by legal counsel.

After hearing the prosecution's arguments, the court granted police a five-day physical remand of the three suspects for further investigation.

Police have so far arrested all eight suspects nominated in the case involving the alleged abduction and sexual assault of two foreign nationals—a Venezuelan and a Dutch woman. The victims were recovered by police and later left Pakistan on July 3.

The case was registered by Defence C Police Station under charges of abduction and sexual assault. Four other suspects, including Muhammad Raza Dar, are already on physical remand until July 8.

Separately, a sessions court granted pre-arrest bail until July 10 to Defence C Police Station House Officer (SHO) Faryad in a case registered over the alleged forcible entry into the official residence of a judicial magistrate.

The FIR alleges that the SHO and other police officials entered the magistrate's residence without permission in an attempt to have the statements of the two foreign women recorded and allegedly pressured the magistrate to speak with Lahore DIG Operations Faisal Kamran by telephone.

The matter remains under investigation, while the DIG Operations has expressed regret over the incident involving the magistrate's residence.
