Three held for selling counterfeit products

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jul, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore, Corporate Crime Circle has arrested three suspects for allegedly violating the Copyright Act by manufacturing and selling counterfeit products of registered companies.

An FIA spokesperson said on Thursday that suspects, identified as Shahid Rashid, Muhammad Akhtar and Waheed Asim, were arrested during raids conducted in different areas of Lahore.

During the operations, teams recovered a large quantity of counterfeit products bearing the trademarks of well-known registered companies from the suspects' possession.

The spokesperson said the accused were allegedly involved in the sale of fake products in violation of the Copyright Act.

The suspects had been taken into custody, and investigations have been initiated to ascertain the extent of the counterfeit products network and identify other individuals involved, the spokesperson added.
