DIJKOT:

Police found the unidentified bodies in different areas and launched efforts to trace their families. According to officials, the body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 40 years old, was found floating along Canal Road in the Madina Town area.

Rescue teams retrieved the body and handed it over to police. Another unidentified man, about 50 years old, was found dead in a canal near 264-RB Bara Whela, close to 80 Mor in Dijkot. Police and rescue officials retrieved the body and initiated legal proceedings. Meanwhile, passers-by spotted the body of an elderly woman lying near Jawad Club Chowk in Ghulam Muhammad Abad and alerted police.

The police shifted the body to a hospital for identification and investigation. Meanwhile, a police constable and an accomplice were taken into custody after allegedly assaulting and injuring a duty officer at Thikriwala police station.
