Three-day workshop launched to strengthen investigation,prosecution

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2026) The Prosecution Department Punjab in collaboration with the Center for Professional Development has

launched a three-day training workshop for prosecutors and police investigation officers for enhancing

professional capacity and strengthening the criminal justice system.

On the opening day, comprehensive and purposeful sessions focused on effective investigation of murder

cases, collection of evidence in accordance with scientific and legal requirements and strong case prosecution.

Speaking on the occasion, the experts highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts between investigators and prosecutors to ensure successful convictions.

Secretary Prosecution Department Punjab Syed Farhad Ali Shah and Director Center for Professional Development participated via online link.

In their addresses, they emphasized the supremacy of law, transparent investigation and effective prosecution as key pillars of the justice system.

They underlined that professional competence, integrity and institutional coordination were indispensable elements for strengthening the criminal justice framework.

Retired Sessions Judge Zulfiqar Khan Nasir, in his lecture, said that strong and quality evidence formed foundation of successful prosecution.
