Three dacoits killed during shootout with CCD

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Three suspected robbers were killed in an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) near Saar Muradwala Road here, the official sources said on Tuesday.

According to a CCD spokesperson, the deceased were identified as Ali Hamza, Naveed Abbas, and Ghulam Raza were reportedly involved in multiple cases of murder, robbery, kidnapping, and other crimes across Punjab.

The police records showed that Ali Hamza was wanted in 17 cases, Naveed Abbas in 12, and Ghulam Raza in 19.

The spokesperson said the suspects were allegedly fleeing after looting the house of a citizen, Fazal Abbas, when they were intercepted by a CCD team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Haji Nasrallah on Saar Muradwala Road.

Upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire, prompting retaliatory action.

Following an exchange of gunfire, the three suspects were found critically injured and later died of their wounds.

The police recovered weapons, cash, and other items allegedly looted in the incident. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for legal formalities, while further investigation is underway.
