Three buffaloes die of lightning

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Three buffaloes died of lightning strike in Kot Addu tehsil

area, officials and locals confirmed on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in Chak No. 607 TDA near Adda Pathan

Hotel in the Chowk Sarwar Shaheed area, where the animals

tied under a cluster of date trees were hit by lightning.

The livestock belonged to Tariq Ghumman, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI)

in Punjab Police.

Authorities have advised farmers to take precautionary measures

during thunderstorms, particularly avoiding tying animals under tall

trees or in open fields during lightning.
