Thief steal electric wires of Punjab Seed Corporation

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Unknown thieves allegedly stole 11 KVA electricity wires from the 83-85/10-R farm of the Punjab Seed Corporation in Khanewal late last night, causing the institution to suffer losses worth millions of rupees daily.

According to details, the incident took place between 2am and 3am when unidentified suspects cut and stole 11 KVA power wires worth millions of rupees from four electricity poles.

Following the theft, the Punjab Seed Corporation’s plant became completely non-operational.

Due to the ongoing extreme heat, employees and staff are also facing severe difficulties.

Officials of the institution and other concerned circles expressed serious concern over the incident and demanded immediate action to trace the culprits and take strict legal action against them.

They also urged the authorities to restore electricity supply at the earliest to prevent further financial losses to the institution.
