Theft case traced in 24 hours, cash recovered

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Multan Police successfully traced a theft incident within 24 hours in the jurisdiction

of Makhdoom Rasheed Police Station and arrested the main suspects involved in stealing

cash worth Rs 1.6 million from a petrol pump locker in the 19-Kassi area.

According to police sources, acting on the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar,

a special team launched an immediate investigation under the supervision of SSP Operations

Haider Ali, SSP Investigation Muhammad Tahir, SP Saddar Division Badr Munir,

and DSP Makhdoom Rasheed Mehr Nasir.

SHO Makhdoom Rasheed Muhammad Afzal, along with Sub-Inspector Azhar Ali and the IT team, utilized professional investigative techniques and modern technology to trace the accused persons.

The suspects were arrested successfully, and the stolen cash amounting to Rs. 1.6 million was

recovered during the operation.

Police officials handed over the recovered amount to the complainant after completing legal formalities.

The complainant appreciated Multan Police for their prompt action, efficient investigation, and timely recovery, expressing gratitude for the swift resolution of the case.
