LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) on Friday helped police arrest a suspect involved in snatching a purse and mobile phone from a woman in Moon Market area, Lahore.

According to a PSCA spokesperson, the incident was swiftly traced through Safe City cameras after which Virtual Patrolling Officers tracked the suspect’s movement and shared real-time information with police, enabling his arrest.

The spokesperson said footage clearly showed the suspect snatching valuables from the woman. Acting on the timely alert, police conducted an operation and apprehended the accused.

The spokesperson said mobile phone, cash, bank cards and other items were recovered from the suspect, adding that preliminary investigation revealed the accused was also wanted in multiple cases.

He urged citizens to report emergencies on Helpline 15 for prompt action.
