KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) The Sindh Government’s Department of Sports has announced the dates for the Thar Jeep Rally. According to the spokesperson, The Thar Off-Road Rally will be held from 26 to 29 March 2026 in the desert region of Thar, Sindh, where top drivers from across the country will showcase their skills. Preparations for the rally track have already begun.

Sports Minister Muhammad Bakhsh Mehr will be the chief guest at the ceremony, while Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Syed Zulfiqar Shah, Sindh Assembly members Nadir Magsi, Qasim Siraj Soomro, and other dignitaries will also attend.

In connection with the upcoming Thar Jeep Rally, an important meeting was held in Karachi with the Motor Association, chaired by Sindh Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar.

The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Asad Ishaq, Motor Association representatives Syed Zaheer Hussain Shah and Rehan Qureshi, as well as DSO Wash Dev Malhi and Section Officer Ali Dano Gopang.

During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given regarding the organization of motorbike races, horse and camel races, and musical programs alongside the Thar Off-Road Rally.

Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar stated that this year, to make the Thar Jeep Rally more colorful, traditional horse and camel races along with a special musical program will be organized alongside the motorbike race, so that spectators can enjoy a blend of sports and culture.
