SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) A delegation from the Technical education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), led by Khurram Shafique, visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to explore opportunities for collaboration on health and safety training courses for the industrial workforce.
During the meeting, the TEVTA delegation highlighted the importance of equipping workers with essential health and safety knowledge to improve workplace standards and reduce occupational hazards. Khurram Shafique emphasized that modern industries require trained personnel who understand safety protocols and international compliance standards.
Representatives from the Sialkot Chamber welcomed the initiative and expressed interest in working closely with TEVTA to design and implement practical training programs tailored to the needs of Sialkot’s export-oriented industries, including surgical instruments, sports goods, and leather manufacturing.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants agreed to continue consultations and develop a framework for jointly organizing Health and Safety training sessions in collaboration with industry stakeholders.
