Tehsil administration finalizes Eid-ul-Azha cleanliness Plan Under “Suthra Punjab” campaign

WAH CANTT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) The tehsil administration has finalized a contingency plan to ensure cleanliness and the timely disposal of sacrificial waste during Eid-ul-Azha under the “Suthra Punjab” campaign .

Assistant Commissioner Taxila, Maria Javed visited the “Suthra Punjab Camp Taxila,” established to oversee and implement sanitation arrangements across the tehsil during the Eid holidays.

During the visit, she reviewed operational preparedness, sanitation measures and the waste disposal mechanism.

She directed staff to remain on duty around the clock and ensure the prompt collection and disposal of sacrificial remains to maintain cleanliness and protect the environment.

Maria also distributed biodegradable waste bags among the residents and urged citizens to place sacrificial waste in the designated bags and hand them over to sanitation workers for proper disposal.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the main objective of the “Suthra Punjab” campaign was to provide the public with a clean, healthy and pollution-free environment.

She added that the district administration and relevant departments were working in coordination to facilitate the residents during Eid-ul-Azha.

She also appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and help maintain cleanliness in neighborhoods and surrounding areas during the holiday period.
