ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jul, 2026) Power supply to several grid stations serving Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Attock was disrupted on Wednesday after a technical fault developed at the 220kV Sangjani Grid Station, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) said.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the disruption occurred due to a technical fault in the 132kV bus bar insulator at the 220kV Sangjani Grid Station, affecting electricity supply from the auto-transformers installed at the facility.
The spokesperson said technical teams were present at the site and had started restoring electricity to the affected grid stations in phases.

IESCO apologized to consumers for the inconvenience caused and advised customers to contact the company's helpline 118 for further information and updates.
