Teacher held for torturing 10-year-old student

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Police on Monday arrested a madrasa teacher for allegedly torturing a 10-year-old student Rawalpindi.

According to the details, the accused assaulted the child with a plastic pipe and unlawfully confined him for wearing a torn cap, as stated in the FIR registered at Sadar Bairooni Police Station on complaint by the victim's father.

Police took the suspect into custody while the victim student was also sent for a medical examination.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadar Anum Sher said that violence against children is unacceptable under any circumstances.

She said children are the future of the nation and their protection is a collective responsibility.
