Suthra Punjab’ drive reaches Taxila with anti-litter awareness walk

WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) An anti-litter awareness walk was held in Taxila on Wednesday as part of the Punjab government’s “Suthra Punjab” initiative, aimed at promoting cleanliness and civic responsibility across the province.

The campaign, launched under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was organized through collaboration between the Suthra Punjab Authority and the Local Government Department Punjab.

Chief Officer Municipal Committee Taxila, Gulshan Noreen led the walk which started from the Assistant Commissioner (AC) Office and proceeded through key city roads before concluding at Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk.

A broad cross-section of political, social and administrative representatives attended the event, including coordinators of public officeholders, local leaders, and officials from the revenue and price control departments.

The organizers said the objective of the campaign was to raise public awareness about cleanliness and foster a stronger sense of civic responsibility among the residents.
