Suspected motorcycle lifter shot, injured in police encounter

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) A motorbike lifter was shot and injured before being arrested in a police encounter occurring on the Tando Qaiser link road near Bilori minor here on Wednesday.

The police spokesman informed that three suspected outlaws riding on a motorbike engaged the cops in an exchange of fire during which a suspect, Zeshan, sustained a gunshot while his two accomplices escaped.

The injured suspect rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to an initial report, the suspect was involved in motorbike snatching, police encounters, and was booked in at least 10 FIRs while further records of the suspect were being obtained.

Police have recovered a 30 bore pistol with ammunition from the possession of the injured.

Police started a search operation to arrest absconding suspects and registered cases against those held and suspects under the relevant law.
