Suspect wanted in two attempt to murder cases held

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) Sadr police claimed on Monday to have arrested an absconding accused wanted

in two separate attempted to murder cases and recovered a 30-bore pistol along

with bullets from his possession.

Acting on the directions of CPO Multan Sadiq Ali Dogar, the operation was carried

out as part of an ongoing campaign against criminals in the district. Under the supervision

of SSP Operations Haider Ali, SHO Sadar Multan Asif Masood, along with his team,

conducted a successful raid and arrested the suspect, identified as Azhar Hussain

alias Pappu.

Police said the suspect was wanted in two attempted murder cases registered after

incidents that took place on June 12, 2026.

He allegedly opened fire in separate

incidents on suspicion, injuring his wife, Mukhtiar Mai, and another man, Allah Rakha.

The police team traced and apprehended the accused through the use of modern

technology and intelligence-based information. During the arrest, officers also

recovered a 30-bore pistol and ammunition from his possession.

CPO Multan Sadiq Ali Dogar appreciated the performance of police team and

directed the officers to continue indiscriminate action against proclaimed offenders

and criminal elements.

He reiterated that the protection of life and property of citizens remains the police’s

top priority and that all available resources were being utilized to ensure public safety.
