Suspect arrested for stabbing citizen to death over old enmity

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Police have arrested the main suspect allegedly involved in the fatal stabbing of a citizen following an old enmity, police said on Thursday.

According to police spokesperson, the suspect was taken into custody after police registered a case and launched an investigation into the murder. Using technical and human intelligence resources, investigators traced and apprehended the accused.

Police said the victim was attacked with a dagger and succumbed to his injuries. Efforts are underway to arrest an accomplice allegedly involved in the crime, with raids being conducted at various locations.

SP Saddar Anum Sher commended Saddar Barooni team and said the arrested suspect would be challaned before the court with solid evidence to ensure the case is prosecuted effectively.

The investigation is ongoing and police are continuing efforts to apprehend all individuals involved in the incident.
